My Blogging Experience

This is the last post of the semester and I really enjoy it, I can see how much I’ve improved my English, before this experience I couldn’t write in English because I didn’t knew how to do it, I hadn’t practiced so when I needed to write I was insecure, now I can write with much more confidence also I’ve learned a lot of new words and who to write word that I knew how to say it but no how to write it.
The advantages of blogging in the class is the connection that it creates I can read the works of my classmates and shear opinions with others, hum… the disadvantages… homework is always a  disadvantage jajajaja but necessary to improve don’t you think??
Saludos!!!

I Googled "The last post on my blog" and that picture came out delicious... a sweet ending

My most embarrassing moment

Ouh I was avoiding this post but the day has come. One of my most embarrassing moments happened when I was in a class of penal law, the professor was checking the list and my friends and I were talking about stuff and we didn’t pay attention to the list. We continued  talking and talking quickly, mainly the professor continued checking till a friend told me a joke, it was so funny I don’t remember what she said but I laughed so loud! In the room wasn’t crowded at all, so everyone heard it and turned their heads to me also the professor. He looked at me and said “are you Valenzuela?” (that was the name that he said on the list) I said “No, I’m Chávez, professor” and the he said “you girl are too noisy I’m going to separated you if you continuous talking”  that doesn't happened to me since elementary school, I was red of ashamed so I kept my mouth shut and pay attention to the class.

One of My best Holidays

I don’t have a ranking of the best holidays, but I can say that this is the one where I learned about many many
things and also about people, it was a limit experience that it showed who my following years are going to be.
Even when the circumstances were really dramatic we had a really good time. It was a spiritual retreat with friends of my church Happened on the summer of 2010  went to camping in aculeo’s lake for 3 days, Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 of February
We were 15 people and two of them were exange students who barely speak Spanish. We planed this trip with month of anticipation, another couple,  my boyfriend and me were in charge of plan it and see all the details. We got there on the afternoon of Friday 26th and we spend a good time together, we had a pool for us and the lake! We went to bed at 2 am me and the girls that was in the tent and felt to sleep till at 3:33 stared the earthquake! No one could stood up, someone stared to cry, specially the gringas who never ever in their life lived a headquarter before. When the shaking finished everyone ran away... But me, I stilled sleeping!!! The earthquake didn’t waked me up.
The followings days we were isolated and we must wait till the reads were clean but wasn’t bad, we had the pool just for our owns and also enjoy the challenge on been in and adventure. After that we know each other better. We didn’t know how horrible was in concepcion and the devastation on the country, I didn’t enjoy it when I realized , but was a experience that I’ll never forget, that’s why I consider a remarkable holidays.

My favorite Subject

Maybe because I spend most of my time watching law and order when i was a teenager my favorite subject today is Penal Law. The definition of Penal Law is a join of norms that regulate the punitive power of the state, helping to keep the peace in society establishing general norms of behavior.
Penal Law is about crime and punishment, and It defines what’s a crime, which are they characteristic and It describe the punishment that judge must to apply.
I like this subject because it’s, I guess, justice in action, I feel with others subjects that they’re too far from reality,  I mean all  the Law is attached with reality, but penal law is reality It talks about things that happens all the time, sometimes, horrible things, sometimes, not so much, but all of them make harder life in society.

The second reason is that in penal law they are attached many others subjects like psychology, psychiatry, criminology, even history and anthropology all mixed together in rules. That’s why penal law is so rich,  converges others disciplines on It, that help to create laws and also  It helps the judge to achieve Justice.

The best place to eat.

There's a lot of places that you can go for a great meal in Santiago, but in this time I’m going to recommend you El Huerto restaurant.
Is located in Providencia in Orrego Luco 054 really close to Pedro de Valdivia Station.
I found it when I went there with my boyfriend and his parents for Valentine's Day, they love this place so his parents invited us to dinner there and it was a beautiful dinner with great company, there was full but we could get a table and it was beautifully decorated for the occasion. That was our first Valentine’s Day.
The interesting thing about this place is that they serve just vegetarian food, maybe someone could think that vegetarian food is all about lettuce but they're wrong! El Huerto has a delicious menu and most of their food is organic. The local in really nice and specially decorated to give you a feeling of nature making you return to your roots.

I recommend you this place because atmosphere is really nice, you feel transported to another place, the vegetarian meca, and also because it’s a different experience, a really interesting one who allow us get closer and charmed with vegetarianism, it's a little expensive but totally worthwile.

A Photograph that I like (:

This little boy is my brother, Benjamín, like... 6 years
ago, this little sweet thing aaw I melt every single time I look this picture ah! for the record that's a glass of water just water!! That picture was taken a few days after he started to walk so we captured every single step that he gave.
He asked for water, and we gave him water, look how he  holds the glass with his little hands!! I really melt!!  ok... continuing the history, we gave him water and he  walked to that furniture and he sat down (I supose that
all that time my mother was with the camera, and she took  the picture) and he smiled to the camera, but look at his  smile!! It's so funny!! and the glass!, well he looks  like a drunk, a little one. I'm not encouraging drinking  but... It's so hilarious!

Session 5 My favourite piece of technology

First of all I must say that technology and me aren't good friends i'm a old fashioned girl or maybe I just don't understand technology very well. For that reason I'm going to take a broad meaning of what technology is.
My favourite piece of technology is... The train! don't you think so???
The Train is a machine who runs over rails and allows the transportation of people and stuff through thousands of miles all over the world.
It was invented on industrial revolution emerged in England on the XVIII and XIX century and was really helpfull to achive progress.
No one have gave me a real train but I used to have a little toy train maybe, well subway counts like a kind of train also, so I used it every days, every crowded day ):
I like it because i'm from Valparaiso and my grandmother lived so close to train station "El Puerto", that's the first station, and my grand-aunt lived in Olmue that's the last one. The trains who are in Valparaiso now are new, but when I was a child, there were really old ones, and we used to do all the journey watching the sea, and then the scary bridge, and the the country, and the cows and then my grand-aunt and the delicious foods and cakes that she does always when we go there.
I still remember the sound that train made when we went there, "chucuchú, chucuchú" :D I felt sleep with that cadence.
Life without trains would be really difficult because in some countries is fundamental, like India. Also because industry used trains to transport their products. The most important reason is life is more nostalgic with them, every one of us have a history related with trains I bet that!

I encourage you to remember that history!!
